China's air force will officially take part in the Zhuhai Air Show next month and the astronauts who charmed the nation last month by carrying out the country's first spacewalk are expected to take part, its organisers said yesterday. Apart from the advanced aircraft on display, the show would also feature aerobatic teams from around the world, show spokesman Wang Qiusheng said in Hong Kong yesterday. These include the People's Liberation Army Air Force August 1 Aerobatic Troupe, and the Red Arrows from Britain. Mr Wang said organisers hoped to display the re-entry capsule used by the Shenzhou VII space mission and were hopeful that astronauts Zhai Zhigang , Liu Boming and Jing Haipeng would take part. He said their predecessors, such as Yang Liwei , Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng , had made appearances in previous air shows. The six-day extravaganza will be open to the public on November 4.
