FARE International, including Asian. AMBIENCE The latest place to see and be seen, this wine bar, restaurant and cake shop has a 360-degree terrace, classy decor and bubbly atmosphere. COST About HK$800 for three courses without drinks. WHO TO BRING Gorgeous friends. TURN-ONS While many diners, judging from the elegant interior and prices, may expect complex fine dining dishes, the food is simple and soulful. The stuffed baked crab was a pleasant way to start the meal, as was the Sevva Special salad that contained tea-smoked quail eggs, pomegranate, avocado, artichoke hearts and greens. The Wagyu filet mignon was excellent, and worth the HK$480 it cost, although vegetables could have been served with the fries as sides. The lamb loin was tender and succulent, and the crunch cake had delightfully fluffy sponge, latherings of sweet cream and the perfect amount of honeycomb. TURN-OFFS The establishment refuses to serve tap water. The service needs improving: our meals sat cooling on our plates while we waited for the wine we had ordered to accompany it, and we had to ask twice for our tea. While the quality of the ingredients is excellent, and dishes are enjoyable, the food is generally overpriced. The starter-sized Sevva salad cost HK$220, our pot of tea HK$70, and we steered clear of the dosas, priced at about HK$200. DRINKS A good wine list, including a separate menu for wines by the glass, compelling cocktails, beers and spirits. Also a few varieties of 'tonic vinegars' listed on the dessert menu, which are described as having health benefits.
