Alessandro Gadotti (left), managing director of the first Hong Kong outlet of Flight Experience, demonstrates one of two flight simulators at the opening of the shop in Kowloon Bay's Megabox mall yesterday. For a basic fee of HK$1,080, would-be aviators can use the simulator to 'fly' a commercial aircraft under the supervision of a qualified commercial pilot. The simulators were certified by the Civil Aviation Authority, Mr Gadotti said. The long-gone Kai Tak airport will be one of 24,000 airports worldwide represented in the 5.5 metre simulator, in which users can fly in any weather conditions in a Boeing 737.
