Citibank has launched the third instalment in the Agent Penny series, a set of comic books that teaches students financial management. The latest book, Agent Penny and Will Power in Budget Bootcamp, focuses on healthy spending habits. The books target students aged 10 to 12. It is hoped they will equip young people with the knowledge to save and budget wisely. A group of 130 students and teachers were invited to the launch ceremony of the latest instalment of the series. The story was brought to life as a short play by Jumbo Kids Theatre, a local theatre group, and radio hosts Kitty Yuen and Sammy Leung. Yuen and Leung also shared tips on how to manage money with students. With financial education becoming increasingly important, a workshop was held to help teachers take finance basics into the classroom. Amy Choi Lai-fung, director of sales and distribution at Citibank Global Consumer Group, said: 'I think we have made a big step forward by introducing a teacher workshop. 'The ... workshop empowers teachers to infuse financial literacy into lessons.' Jumbo Kids Theatre will perform the drama in schools around Hong Kong to spread the message of the importance of financial management. Citibank hopes the play and comic book will reach 150 primary schools and more than 45,000 students this year.
