The most popular section starting time for the 10k race at next year's Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon was closed yesterday due to an overwhelming public response. Organisers said they will no longer accept entries for the 6.30am start time, which is the latest of the 10km starts. That section has a cut-off limit of 9,000 runners. There are four starting sections for the 10km race, with the earliest start time being 5.15am. Organisers have set a ceiling of 33,000 runners in total for the 10km race. Six other category races - full marathon, half marathon challenge and half marathon run one, plus the three other 10km sections - are still open for entries.
