Peng Chau bomb detonated
Police bomb disposal officers detonated a wartime explosive after moving it from Peng Chau to Tai A Chau yesterday. Twenty-six people were evacuated after the 30cm bomb was found at a construction site in Wing On Street at about 10am. No one was injured.
16 hurt in minibus accident
Sixteen people were injured when a minibus slammed into the back of a double-decker and a minibus in Ma Tau Wai Road, Hung Hom, at about 1.30pm. They were treated for minor injuries at hospital.
Wife held for scissors attack
Police arrested a woman, 37, for injuring her husband with scissors in Sham Shui Po. The man, 46, was treated for right leg injuries.
Men sought for Tuen Mun assault
Police are looking for gang of a six or seven men who assaulted a man, 31, with knives and glass bottles outside a pub in Castle Peak Road, Tuen Mun, at about 5.30am.
