The luxury serviced suites at The HarbourView Place are drawing keen interest from expatriates and local guests looking for flexible accommodation within a self-contained property development above Kowloon Station. Located on the 50th to 70th floors of The Cullinan II tower alongside the International Commerce Centre, the project, built by Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP), provides 266 serviced suites. They include studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom suites of about 400 to more than 700 sqft, plus two presidential suites on the 70th floor, measuring 2,290 and 3,270 sqft. The first two batches of serviced suites, comprising 150 units, have been put up for lease at a monthly rental of HK$52 to HK$53 per square foot, and the majority of them have been taken up. The leasing period is between one and 12 months. Belinda Kuan, assistant general manager of Signature Homes, the luxury leasing arm of SHKP, said The HarbourView Place was an integral part of the Kowloon Station development that provided quality offices, luxury apartments, serviced suites, hotels and shops. 'The development is built with a concept of being 'a small city within a big city',' she said. 'There is a good mix of components - the ICC office premises, the Elements shopping mall, The Ritz-Carlton, The W Hotel, The HarbourView Place, and luxury flats for sale at The Cullinan. 'There are good synergies between the different components. We have seen a great deal of demand from expatriates working with multinational corporations at the ICC office tower. The hotel component can cater to the needs of short-staying businessmen while our serviced suites provide quality accommodation at longer yet flexible lease terms.' Ms Kuan said The HarbourView Place was a purpose-built serviced suites project to provide luxury 'home away from home' accommodation with premium hotel-standard services. 'We strive to offer quality living with the feeling of being home,' she said. 'The serviced suites come in a wide range of unit sizes and layout designs. They all feature simple, contemporary stylish interiors with top quality in-room provisions from home appliances to kitchenware, mattress and bathroom fittings.' In addition to the serviced suites, The Cullinan II is a mixed-use tower that includes luxury apartments for sale and Hong Kong's first W Hotel. Ms Kuan said the building was designed to take care of different interests as the serviced suites, luxury apartments for sale and W Hotel all had exclusive facilities, entrances and lifts for their own guests or residents 'Our guests, many of whom are senior executives with multinational companies in need of frequent travelling, will enjoy the convenience of being located above Kowloon Station along the Airport Express,' she said. 'A comprehensive range of amenities, such as the high-end Elements shopping mall, are at the doorsteps. Our guests can also enjoy in-room dining service from The W Hotel and make use of the hotel's conference facilities.'
