Furry beauties strut their stuff on the catwalk
Beauty pageants are no longer only for humans.
More than 200 beautiful felines will hit the catwalk during this weekend's cat beauty pageant at the Hong Kong International Cat's Show this year in Discovery Park, Tsuen Wan.
The pageant will feature many of the breeds which are popular in Hong Kong like British Shorthair, Siamese and Persian, as well as some rarer breeds.
Different cats will be judged on different criteria. For example, Persian cats with round eyes, small ears and a nose set centrally between the eyes will score highly.
The cat show is organised by the Hong Kong Cat Fanciers' Club and runs all weekend. As well as the pageant, there will be displays of cat food and snacks, cat litter and toys which cat owners can buy.
There will be a series of free seminars for cat owners to attend on topics including how to be a responsible owner, cat health and the relationship between children and pets.
