Hif you like sugary things, you say you have a sweet tooth. When someone mentions desserts, we immediately think of ice cream and cakes. There is a wide selection of western desserts. These items are from an English menu.
Ice cream
Apart from ice cream, other frozen desserts include sundae (ice cream with fresh fruit, nuts, cream and sweet sauce), sorbet (made by freezing fruit juice, water and sugar) and gelato (Italian ice cream, richer and creamier than normal ice cream).
Some people like deep-fried ice cream - ice cream covered in breadcrumbs and then deep fried - or flambeed ice cream - pour alcohol over the ice cream and then set fire to it.
An ice cream soda (usually vanilla ice cream and soft drinks) is called a 'float', such as a coke or coffee float. In the United States, 'Black Cow' is a root beer (a non-alcoholic fizzy drink) float. However, since root beer is not that popular in Hong Kong, our version of 'black cow' is a scoop of chocolate ice cream floating on coke.
