The Elderly Commission and Labour  and Welfare Bureau expanded the  Elder Academy Scheme this year
There are three universities providing courses for elderly learners.
Chinese University of Hong Kong offers various year-long courses aimed at  learners aged 50 or above.  Year-long courses cost HK$3,180 to 5,980 each. For inquiries visit  www.elchk.org.hk/service/ or call 2691 7163.
The Elder Academy at the CityU's School of Continuing and Professional Education offers courses on a wide range of subjects.  Courses range from seven to 13 weeks. Each course costs HK$300. For inquiries visit  www.scope.edu/progs/elderacademy/ or call 2788 7423
Lingnan University's Community College's 'Fulfilling the University Dream - Elderly Learning Programme' offers associate degree programmes covering various disciplines.   Students can choose to complete  studies in two to five years. The fee  is around HK$8,400.
