Plastic found in sweets and butter

The Centre for Food Safety ordered the recall of two Japanese-made sweets - Morinaga Hi-chew Grape and Morinaga Hi-Chew Green Apple - and British-made Country Life Spreadable butter in 250g and 500g packs after pieces of plastic were found in samples. The affected batches of butter are coded 8285 and 8286 with best-before dates of December 20 and 21. The centre said it had alerted the trade to stop selling the products and would monitor the situation.
