Limestone Coast Wines hosts a dinner tonight at Lotus restaurant in Central. The dinner includes a starter of seared tuna salad served with O:TU Sauvignon Blanc 2008 and main courses of stuffed chicken breast with tomato salsa paired with Setanta Emer Chardonnay 2005 and sauteed beef with black beans paired with Shakespeare Cliff Merlot 2006. La Brasserie at the Gateway hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is holding a dinner this evening featuring the Beaujolais wines of Domaine de la Madone. The four-course dinner has dishes of pork sausage in brioche with duck foie gras sauce paired with Domaine de la Madone Beaujolais Villages Blanc 2005, braised beef cheek in red wine sauce served with the winery's Cuvee Fut de Chene 2005 and a cheese course paired with Cuvee Tradition 2006. Giorgio Rivetti, head winemaker and one of the owners of La Spinetta winery in Italy, will host a dinner tomorrow at Angelini restaurant in the Kowloon Shangri-La. The five-course meal includes a starter of prime beef carpaccio rolled and filled with burrata cheese, thyme and sea salt paired with La Spinetta Il Nero di Casanova 2005, a main course of rolled beef rib eye with pine nuts, raisins and celery root cake served with the winery's Barbaresco V Gallina DOCG 2004, and dessert of baba with chestnut cream and pistachios served with the Moscato d'Asti Bricco Quaglia DOCG 2007. New Zealand guest chef Graham Brown will be at Cafe Deco restaurant on The Peak until the end of the month. His menu includes dishes of cold, tea-smoked New Zealand venison loin with blood oranges and blackcurrant vinaigrette, Sichuan-style New Zealand beef filet with miso dressing and oriental mushroom salad (left), ragout of lamb with tomato fondue and kumara gnocchi, and caramelised apple and rhubarb napoleon with manuka honey mascarpone cream and candied lemon.
