In the report, 'Trade arbitration cases up 40pc as disputes rise amid global crisis' on page A3 yesterday, the figure of 40 per cent should have read 14 per cent. Our editorial on the subject, 'Fostering arbitration the right step for HK', on page A12 wrongly stated that the secretariat of ICC International Court of Arbitration's Hong Kong branch 'can provide expertise and guidance to [the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre] and help it arbitrate on international cases'. The Hong Kong branch will not assist HKIAC to administer its cases since the two institutions are separate.
The report 'HK$172.6m to give harbourfront access', on page A2 on Wednesday, incorrectly said the government had proposed spending an extra HK$172.6 million on tunnel protection works to ensure the new Central harbourfront development can start in 2011. The correct figure is HK$1.726 billion.
