Vince: (above, right) My parents were originally from Hong Kong, but I'm here on my own from Canada. Before The Amazing Race I was teaching at a local school as the English specialist and doing some performance work on the side.
Filming The Amazing Race Asia took a month. We were not allowed to contact anyone. When I came back, the school had let me go. Now I'm doing stand-up comedy, acting and MC work. It's not been easy.
Sam: (above left) I'm a university teacher of business communications, but I've always enjoyed singing. I used to sing in an acapella group in Singapore, where I'm from. When I moved here, I started singing back-up for a few local pop stars, most regularly with Sandy Lam [Yik-lin]. I would travel with her on tour, to places like Beijing, Toronto and New York.
I write, and I also play Prolific, an online Boggle game - you find words that no one else can from a group of random letters. I'm in the top 50 of over 60,000 players worldwide.
GO TEAM Sam: Vince is my style doctor. I used to think I had good style until he came along. He's always making comments about my fashion mistakes. He takes more risks in clothes, and kudos to that. Ask him about his furry boots that he is trotting out for winter. OK, he's twitching now, I should stop.
