ORIENT Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has started a new feeder service between Xiamen and Hong Kong. With a transit time of three days, the fixed-day, weekly service will depart Xiamen every Wednesday and Hong Kong every Saturday, allowing cargo connections to all of OOCL's global routes. The 303-TEUs (20-foot equivalent units) vessel, the Zhu Feng Shan (meaning Pearl Summit), will be deployed on the service, and will call at Hong Kong International Terminals. All types of cargo, including refrigerated, will be accepted. OOCL opened its office in Xiamen in September to provide full agency services, including its global network of on-line information systems, to customers in China. OOCL has 10 representative offices in China.
