Equestrian carnival is the perfect treat for those who missed the Olympic showpiece
The Beijing Games may be old news, but the city still seems to be gripped by the Olympic fever. The Equine Fun Fest, to be held at Penfold Park in Sha Tin next month, is sure to bring more smiles this holiday season.
Horse-riding fans can have an enjoyable evening with friends and family at the equestrian carnival, which is organised by the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
This summer's Olympic equestrian events in Sha Tin drew huge crowds. But not everyone had the opportunity to see the magnificent horses and their riders in action.
The Equine Fun Fest gives the public the chance to gain a better understanding of the sport, which made its Olympic debut in 1900.
The park will be divided into three areas - Equine Heroes Zone, Equine Capital Zone and Community Zone.
The event will feature interesting games and exhibits to provide hands-on experience for visitors.
