Fireflight's second release Unbreakable has a heavy emphasis on religion. The album mixes Christian lyrics with elements of rock, nu-metal and lead singer Dawn Richardson's expressive, powerful vocals.

Unbreakable opens with the strong title track of the same name, which features in the TV series The Bionic Woman, and it concludes with the contrasting Wrapped In Your Arms, the most melodic of the 10 songs included.

Heavier tracks such as Stand Up and The Hunger evoke powerful emotions while the quieter beats of the single release Brand New Day display the band's pop talent.

Christian rock is a growing but controversial style of music and Fireflight face strong competition from bands like Lifehouse and Switchfoot. The name Unbreakable suggests strength but Fireflight may not be as powerful as that title implies.

Richardson's voice fails to distinguish itself from the wealth of other female talent around but this has not affected the band's growing fan base, or the album's steady rise up the Christian music charts.

Unbreakable is enjoyable but not outstanding.
