A rise in distance, the inside alley, and a return to the all-weather make up a winning recipe for Golden Treasure in the opening leg of tomorrow afternoon's Triple Trio at Sha Tin. The John Size-trained gelding made his debut on the artificial surface three starts back and ran a commendable third over 1,200m behind Magic Turbo, before turning in an excellent effort to finish second to Dash over 1,650m after working early from a wide gate. He returned to Happy Valley last start to finish on the heels of the placegetters over 1,650m after again doing early work, but from gate one tomorrow, he should enjoy the run of the race under Eric Saint-Martin. The Faltaat gelding strikes a competitive event, but he looks a standout banker, with his main opposition expected to come from Amazing Choice, Winbo, Nasa Pearl, Lucky Money Star and Dash. In the middle pin, Namjong Fighters could prove a value banker with a drop in trip and an inside alley. The David Hall-trained gelding raced too keenly at his last two appearances last season, but hinted he was set for a successful campaign when trialling well behind My Home Town last Tuesday. The only time he raced over this course and distance he turned in an excellent performance to finish second to Fantastic Sun after blowing the start, settling back, and being forced to cover plenty of ground. He will likely be patiently ridden despite the draw, but expect him to be powering to the line to challenge his main dangers Super General, Top Top Light, Pickett and Gaucho. In the final leg, Amazing Venture fits the banker bill, given he is well placed under a light weight from a good gate. The David Ferraris-trained gelding didn't have the best of luck getting clear room in the straight behind Big Profit two starts back, before turning in an honest effort to finish second to Young Elite at his last outing. He should get a nice spot in midfield from gate four under Eddie Lai Wai-ming and prove hard to beat, with other worthy inclusions being Happy Go Lucky, Sohna, Scoot Da Loot and Sea Prince.
