Stories turn into reality
Bedtime Stories Comedy
In Disney's latest family comedy, Bedtime Stories, Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler) finds himself at the mercy of a strange phenomenon that is about to turn his life upside down.
Skeeter has a humdrum life as a handyman at a swanky Los Angeles hotel, but when he starts telling improvised bedtime stories to his niece and nephew, odd things begin to happen and he realises his stories are coming true.
In an attempt to make use of his new-found power, Skeeter starts to incorporate his own aspirations into the stories. What he hasn't counted on is the unexpected contributions by the children - which also begin to come true.
Sandler is best known for his roles in films such as Big Daddy, Mr Deeds and Click. He also gave a sterling performance in Reign Over Me, which also stars Don Cheadle. Bedtime Stories is Sandler's first Disney film.
The film is directed by Adam Shankman, who shed his reputation as a director of B-grade movies in 2007 with Hairspray, which was the fourth largest grossing cinema musical since 1974, according to website Box Office Mojo.
