No matter how busy life gets, family should remain one of life's most precious things. It's a life-long relationship, and one of warmth, support and unconditional love. But many people neglect their family. Four Christmases, directed by Seth Gordon, reminds you why this time of year should be all about those closest to you. Lots of modern youngsters are like Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon): financially independent, with successful careers - and no desire to spend their spare time with family members whose only aim seems to be to make life difficult. Yes: cousins, nieces and nephews can be annoying; elderly relatives babble away about nonsense; and parents can pry into your personal life. But time spent with family is something no amount of money or possessions can replace. Both Brad and Kate have divorced parents. They've managed to avoid getting hitched themselves, and avoid ever spending Christmas with family. But when all flights out of the airport are cancelled, the couple is forced to visit all four parents. Despite their reservations - and suffering at the hands of their relatives - both of them learn the importance of family. While the underlying message is obvious, there are enough silly jokes to keep this from becoming corny. Watch it with your family this Christmas and remember how lucky you are.
