Five years after its last visit, the renowned Disney on Ice show returns to Hong Kong next year with a brand new production, Disney On Ice - Princess Wishes. In advance of this, performers from the show hosted an ice-skating training session last week at The Rink, Elements. Forty local youngsters, aged from four upwards, took part in the special clinic produced by BRAVO Entertainment and Feld Entertainment. After demonstrations of artistic skating from famous Disney characters, such as Mickey Mouse, Snow White and Cinderella, the young participants received personal coaching from the professional performers. As well as improving the children's skating technique, the clinic aimed to encourage them to continue practising and improving their skating in the future. A lot of people in Hong Kong have suffered because of the global financial crisis. The organisers of this event hope that by bringing Princess Wishes to town early next year, local people will be inspired to remain faithful, and keep their belief in their dreams. 'Believing is just the beginning; dreams will come true,' Kenneth Feld, producer of the show, said. 'Every princess in our show shares one essential attitude: each embarks on an adventure to find their heart's fondest wish, and through believing, they come true. We wanted to share that inspirational message with Hong Kong people by celebrating the stories of these enchanting characters.' In order to allow more families to enjoy the performances, the shows will contain both Chinese and English dialogue sections. A total of seven shows will be held from February 20-22, 2009 at AsiaWorld Arena, Chek Lap Kok. Tickets are now available from HK Ticketing and Tom Lee Music Stores.
