Sport Volleyball
Achievements:  Wing-ying  led her school to third place in the Division One Inter-school Tournament (Grade A) at the age of 18. She is  captain of the Hong Kong junior volleyball team.
Soundbite: 'I became  interested in volleyball when I was 13.  My friends and I played  on outdoor courts for fun. I  organised volleyball games when I joined the school team in Form Four,' said Wing-ying.
'I love volleyball because it is a team game that many people  enjoy together. There is a great feeling when  I work together with my teammates to win a game.
'My spirits   are very high during a match and I scream at the top of my voice every time we score a point. I think this is very encouraging to the team.
'When we are behind in a game or somebody has made a mistake, I  try to calm my players down by giving them advice on  the next play. I encourage them to concentrate and play harder. This is my way of  leading the team.'
From her coach: 'Fung is an extremely tough player who is never afraid of hardships. She has an all-round game and great leadership skills,' said Chiu Siu-leong.
'She is  our heart and soul  because she can boost the spirit of the whole team with her performance.
'She is confident and does not shy away from challenges. When the game is on the line, she is as steady as a rock.'
Ambitions:  'I want to go to university to compete in  events where the standards are higher and much more intense than at secondary school tournaments. I also  aim to represent Hong Kong on  the volleyball court,' said Wing-ying.
