Paparazzi leave holidaying Zhang Ziyi exposed
Movie star Zhang Ziyi has made her most revealing appearance in a series of photos that hit the internet yesterday, putting her in the elite company of Hollywood stars who have been caught unclad on the beach by paparazzi. More than 80 photos of the Chinese actress, on holiday in the Caribbean with fiance Vivi Nevo, an Israeli venture capitalist and major shareholder in Time Warner, have appeared online.
In some, Zhang appears in a bikini, showing more skin than she ever has in her movies - including in her co-starring role with Leon Lai Ming in the recently released Forever Enthralled, a biopic of Peking Opera master Mei Langfang.
But there's more. Other pictures show her sunbathing topless and lowering the lower part of her bikini to reveal her bottom. Some of the photos also show her fiance apparently rubbing suntan oil on his beloved's posterior.
Mainland website ent.qq.com quoted a representative of Zhang's management as saying that the beach holiday was the star's private matter and part of her normal life. 'I sympathise with her and all the celebrities whose privacy has been invaded. They can't even enjoy a normal life, let alone a holiday,' the agent said.
The pictures may have been revealing, but they could have been worse. Just ask some members of the city's entertainment elite.
