Yesterday the Village was awash with afternoon sunshine and a sea of fans keen to meet their favourite stars. The line to have a photo taken with Jelena Jankovic snaked around the village. Warmly wrapped up in a tracksuit, Jankovic couldn't play because of the flu but that didn't stop her from signing autographs for the crowd.

The fact Jankovic was out of action only made fans keener to get close to her. And she wasn't the only one putting a smile on fans' faces - WTA's 2007 newcomer of the year Agnes Svazay was just as big a draw.

Said 91/2-year-old Swiss twins, Axel (left) and Thomas Adler (pictured with Szavay). 'We are very keen to get as many autographs as we can today. Apart from Agnes, we've got autographs from Michelle Larcher De Brito and Zheng Jie.'
