While almost every mobile phone now comes with a music player, it's still pretty hard to share your music with your friends. And while sharing a set of earphones between friends might be cozy, the listening experience is certainly not.
That's where the foxLmb from audio specialists Soundmatters comes in. The tiny surround speaker system can connect to your gadgets via Bluetooth, or a standard audio jack, and produces a rich range of sounds.
What gives the foxLmb its high audio quality is a patented speaker system called Twoofer - a system that can support both very high (tweeter) and low (woofer) frequencies. Bear in mind, however, that even though the foxLmb produces great sound it is only designed for close-range listening and will not fill the whole room. It works best as a desktop speaker beside your PC, or among a small group of friends on a mobile phone.
Measuring 143 x 55 x 35mm, and weighing 269g, the foxLmb fits in your pocket, and comes with a lithium-ion battery that will last for up to five hours. You can also connect the unit directly to AC power or a USB port. The foxLmb also incorporates a microphone, which lets you use it as a hands-free or conferencing system for mobile phones.
Unfortunately, the premium sound performance also means a premium price tag of HK$2,350.
