Frankie Wu saved by camera

RACEHORSE owner Frankie Wu Wing-kuen was saved from serious injury yesterday afternoon - by his camera, writes Tommy Lewis.

Wu, owner of Super Goal, a three-year-old Class Two Irish private purchase, was following the horse out of trainer Brian Kan Ping-chee's stable at Sha Tin for a photo session.

The horse, led by a mafoo, kicked out with its hind legs and caught Wu on the chest - but the camera around his neck took the force of the blow.

He still felt pain, however, and was admitted for observation to the Baptist Hospital in Kowloon Tong.

The accident happened at 3pm when trainer Kan was not at the stable.
