Singapore's patchwork festival
Singapore's Mosaic Music Festival is appropriately titled as it presents a patchwork of styles and genres that offer something for pretty much everyone.
This year the festival takes place from March 13-22 at the various venues along the Lion City's Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay, and features a range of big names from genres as diverse as jazz, pop, rock and experimental music.
Jazz fans will be most interested in performances by the Brad Mehldau Trio and Yellowjackets with Mike Stern, who have both appeared in Hong Kong, and pop followers will be turning up in droves to catch Indigo Girls and Brian McKnight.
The organisers have also selected a trio of up-and-coming Asian bands - 15th Scenery from Thailand, Pedicab from the Philippines and Beijing rockers New Pants (below) - alongside huge international names including the experimental Battles and indie-pop act Of Montreal.
