Santa's not-so-little helpers give it their all

In the run-up to Christmas, people all over the city were doing their bit for Operation Santa Claus (OSC).

At a fun fair on the Community College of City University's main and Telford campuses, design students put their talents to good use. Sales of their handmade products raised HK$12,800.

Etina Lam Yee-ting, chairperson of the school's Design Society, said: 'We had a similar fair last year and it was a success so we decided to do it again. We sold dolls, badges, stickers, bookmarks and other items.'

The University of Hong Kong Alumni held a Merry Rockin' Christmas ball last month. While dancing the night away, partygoers managed to raise HK$7,062.

St Mary's Canossian College's five-dollar-per-student campaign collected HK$5,990.

And the Parent-Teacher Association of Bradbury School's performance of Scheherazade raised HK$5,000.
