One site that has been attracting interest is the 36-storey Gateway, being built by Wharf. This twin-tower development is located a few minutes' walk from the Star Ferry terminal.

So far, The Gateway has attracted 18 tenants with many more prestigious companies looking to move to Tsim Sha Tsui.

Offering more than one million square feet of commercial office and retail space, The Gateway, according to realtors, will go a long way in dramatically changing the nature of Tsim Sha Tsui.

It offers better amenities than those available in complexes such as Exchange Square in Central.

For example, the air-conditioning units, while catering to day-to-day needs of businesses, also provide a separately chilled water connection. This affords 24-hour air-conditioning for tenants' computer equipment.

A computerised Building Automation System (BAS) with the latest digital technology will monitor and maintain plant and security systems.
