VALLEY hooker Andy Fields has won the final place in the territory's 10-man squad for the Hong Kong Sevens.
The 23-year-old former Nottingham player was given the nod by national coach George Simpkin after last night's training session at Happy Valley.
His inclusion means heartbreak for former Hong Kong hooker Gary Cross, who has spent the last year recovering from a knee injury which kept him out of the 1993 tournament and the World Cup Sevens in Edinburgh.
Simpkin named nine players from an original 14-man training squad on Sunday, keeping one place open.
At the time, he voiced his concern about the team's ability to win loose ball and Fields is one of the players he has picked to do the job.
Hong Kong are grouped with Scotland and Argentina in their pool for the March 26-27 event at the Hong Kong Stadium.
