A path to a degree
Associate degrees are useful for students who cannot get a university place. They provide an alternative pathway to university.
After finishing an associate degree, a student can get a place in a degree course more easily, provided they have achieved good results.
I think associate degrees are great, because they give many students their only chance to study at university. These days qualifications are very important if you want a  good job.

Studying together lightens the load
As a Form Six student, I have so much study material that I cannot read all of it.
Luckily, one of my teachers taught me a very useful study method: group discussion. It really makes learning a lot more efficient.
Take history as an example. We have hundreds of chapters of material to study. I allocated different chapters to my friends. After studying, we came together and shared what we had learned.
Our history results have improved a lot.

Beware of envy
Like everyone else, I sometimes feel jealous of others. Perhaps I am envious of their looks, their possessions or the great lives they seem to have.
Teenagers are always under peer pressure and are eager for recognition by their peers. It is only natural they sometimes feel jealous.
This can be a good thing, motivating us to improve. Or it can be a bad thing if it leads us to behave obsessively, affecting our relationships and even our health.
Don't allow yourself to be overtaken by envy.

Drive carefully
I read that between December 28, 2008, and January 3, 2009, there were 275 traffic accidents in Hong Kong.
Many of the accidents were a result of drivers disobeying the law, such as driving under the influence of alcohol and talking on mobile phones.
I think drivers should be more careful and responsible. Obey the law and pay attention when driving.

Schools should use PowerPoint more
More and more schools are using technology to assist teachers. PowerPoint is a widely used tool that can help to improve the efficiency and quality of teaching.
The PowerPoint software is user-friendly. Teachers can make use of many of its functions, such as placing pictures or animations on slides, to make their lessons more interesting.
Students can also use PowerPoint to do presentations, so their work can be shared with other students more easily.

No second chance
Try to avoid making mistakes  the first time around, as you can never be certain that you will  get a second chance to makes things right. Once you have a criminal record, for example, there is no going back and your future is ruined.
Always treat other people well. Don't assume that they will forgive you and give you another chance if you do something wrong.
