A smart eighth grader in Canada has invented a way to stop birds from flying into windows.

Charlie Sbocov has come up with a sticker that can be placed in the middle of a pane of glass. The clever thing is that humans can't see it, but birds can. 'It's like putting a big stop sign in the middle of the window,' he said.
Similar black stickers are in use, but they ruin the view.
Charlie researched bird vision and found birds can see colours humans cannot. He found a company to help him make the stickers, and asked volunteers to help him test them. If they prove successful, he may sell them.
