A MAN who bought fireworks in China and ''found'' a distress signal flare at a beach was fined $1,000 for illegal possession yesterday. Chan Shiu-kay, 29, a bank clerk, appeared before Magistrate Fergal Sweeney in Eastern Court and pleaded guilty to possession of fireworks.
