For those who don't like the small displays of netbooks, MSI has launched the NetOn, a desktop version of the ultra-slim PC for more or less the same price.
Consisting of a main unit with an 18.5-inch display that connects to a keyboard and mouse, the MSI NetOn AP1900's resemblance to the iMac is unmistakable, although it doesn't have the sleek aluminium finish and Apple's ultra-slim keyboard.
The reason it is called the NetOn is that the inside is similar to the typical netbook.
Powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor and an onboard Intel 945 graphics card, equipped with 2GB of DDR2 RAM and running Windows XP, the MSI offers pretty much the processing power of its portable cousins.
Obviously, the bigger display allows it to accommodate a few more features, like the big 160GB hard disk drive and the integrated DVD super-multi drive.
It also comes with built-in speakers and a 1.3 Mega-pixel webcam.
