Chow Yun-fat answers to a higher power when it comes to movie roles
Hong Kong star Chow Yun-fat has revealed the identity of his real 'boss' during a recent promotional tour.
'It doesn't matter if I am making a film in Korea, Hollywood or Hong Kong; they are all the same to me. I just take orders from my wife, who is my manager and mentor,' Chow said.
'When she needs money to buy something, she will push me to get working. This type of character is not what I would desire, you know, but she wants me to do it so she can buy a very famous bag.'
Chow was on a tour of Asian cities promoting his latest film, Dragonball Evolution - an adaptation of the Japanese manga Dragon Ball - alongside co-stars 'Goku' (Justin Chatwin) and 'Bulma' (Emmy Rossum). Chow plays Goku's playful master Roshi.
Like his character in the film, Chow (left) has a good sense of humour. Dragonball Evolution marks his first comic role in the more than 100 films he has made.
Meanwhile, Chow recently placed No222 on the list of Hollywood's most valuable actors compiled by financial magazine Forbes.
