Li Ka-chun, 18, yesterday admitted in the Court of First Instance before Deputy High Court Judge Gareth Lugar-Mawson that he had robbed the victims between June 16 and July 8 last year.

Prosecutor June Cheung said Li, who had no previous convictions, was unemployed at the time he committed the offences. Li had completed Form Three.

The court heard Li was arrested on July 8 in Tsim Sha Tsui after he robbed the last victim at a brothel in Observatory Road.

Li threatened the victim with a knife and she gave him HK$460. He had posed as a customer to enter her brothel. The victim, who made a report and was taken around the area in a police vehicle, later identified Li in the street.

Li confessed to six other robberies of prostitutes. He said he robbed his first victim in Tsuen Wan on June 16, using a knife to threaten her after they had sex. He fled after she gave him HK$400.
