Five years after Ang Lee's not-so-successful attempt to bring the green giant to the screen, the Hulk returns in this bigger, bolder and better reboot, The Incredible Hulk.

A fugitive from the US Army, Bruce Banner is hiding out in Brazil. He is searching for a cure for the genetic mutation that transforms him into a green, rampaging monster whenever he's angry. With the help of a mysterious scientist, he follows clues which lead him back to civilisation. Meanwhile, a former soldier decides to turn himself into an even more dangerous version of the Hulk.

Watching this action-packed film at home on DVD doesn't really do it justice. The special effects are stars in their own right, and it is full of exhilarating, beautifully-shot chase scenes - the dash through the Brazilian slums is especially breathtaking. The CGI is magnificent, and most stunts are original and refreshing.

The last fight between the two monsters, the Hulk and Abomination, is sure to unleash your inner five-year-old.

The story is lightened up by some classic jokes. Featuring a well thought-out plot and surprise ending, this is the most faithful Hulk movie yet, with the movie team producing an ode to the Marvel hero.
