The Asian Film Awards is the city's annual flagship event to celebrate the regional movie industry, so it is only natural to expect extra care would have gone into producing its multilingual website. But, in typical Hong Kong fashion, organisers managed to come up with some surprises on the opening page: 'Celebrating Exellence (sic) in Cinema'.

Celebrating films, perhaps, but language or at least spelling ... that's something else. With the millions of dollars available in its annual budget, part of which is courtesy of taxpayers, could someone at the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society, which runs the awards, do a spell-check?
