Red tides reported at two spots

Two red tides have been sighted over the past week - one at the Yim Tin Tsai Fish Culture Zone, and the other on the Shing Mun River. The one on the Shing Mun River, spotted on Tuesday, was still present yesterday. The other dissipated on Wednesday. The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department said both were formed by a non-toxic marine algae common in local waters.
