 Grub: Typical Japanese cafe that offers great pork noodle soup, and small dishes like grilled chicken wings and tofu. They also serve Japanese tea and coffee.
 Vibe:  Located in one of Tsim Sha Tsui's bar districts, it's not the most obvious place for this kind of restaurant, but once you're inside, it's a small, warm and cozy place, suitable for all the family.
Although it's a little hard to find, Mochi Cafe is often packed, and there are usually long queues once they start serving dinner at 6pm.  
 Who to bring:  Great for small groups of friends or a date before the movie starts. Don't go if you want a long, sit-down experience, as the cafe is too small to have particularly comfortable seating, and there is always another group of customers waiting for your table.
 What's hot: Don't miss their chunky pork udon soup served in a hot stone bowl. It's also available with beef, but the pork is addictive. The soup is rich with meat essence and the handmade udon noodles are far chewier than any you can buy at the supermarket. The pork has just enough fat to keep it juicy, and the corn in the soup makes it so sweet you can't help but pick up the bowl and drain every last drop.
The serving staff are very familiar with the menu and highly efficient.
 What's not: The long queues can be frustrating even for the most patient of hungry diners, so it's a good idea to make a reservation, even for dinner on a weeknight. 
The restaurant can feel crowded, so it's not great for claustrophobes, and the location can be a nightmare if you don't like walking through crowds. 
 Cost: You get big portions for a very reasonable price - perhaps some of the prices for this high standard of food in the TST area. 
Noodle soups are around HK$50-HK$60, while other small dishes are HK$30-HK$40. Expect to spend about HK$80 per person for dinner.
