Crowne Plaza is offering up to four free nights' accommodation when a meeting is booked at its hotels on the mainland. The move is one of several ways the Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) brand is geared to helping Mice business during difficult economic times.

'We listen carefully to what our customers want. Under the current economic climate, they like rapid responses, good value and working with knowledgeable people to make their events and meetings hassle free,' said Gary Rosen, senior vice-president, sales and marketing, IHG Asia Pacific.

'Crowne Plaza is perfectly positioned to address these needs with our dedicated and trained Crowne meetings directors and our two-hour response guarantee. In terms of value, we have tactical campaigns from time to time.'

The free accommodation and Priority Club are just two examples of these promotions. The offer is valid for Priority Club Meetings Rewards members until June30.

'These [rewards] points are a way of providing value to our clients. The points can be redeemed for gift vouchers for employee incentives [or to] offset meeting costs. Crowne Plaza locations vary from city centres to resorts where corporate planning sessions can be combined with team building or incentive trips,' Mr Rosen said.

'The benefit is that you'll still be able to conduct meetings and events within budget without compromising quality and choice. Crowne Plaza has a unique toolkit of services designed to guarantee that meetings are well-run, from inquiry to completion.'
