Former Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff has released her second greatest hits album, reminding us that she still sees herself as a force to be reckoned with.

Unfortunately, with only three studio albums to her name, there is hardly enough material to warrant the album's title, Best of Hilary Duff.

The album contains 12 tracks, of which two - Reach Out and Holiday - are brand new, and reappear on the album as remixes. The four tracks might have worked better as single releases for the new album she is currently working on.

The Japanese and European editions offer additional tracks: 19 on the Japanese release and 16 on the European one. Stand-out tracks are Fly and So Yesterday. Both have a strong rock sound with well-written lyrics, and they allow Duff to demonstrate what little vocal versatility she has.

The album also contains a remix of Come Clean from her debut album Metamorphosis. The pop song becomes a much stronger Euro dance track that will get you out of your seat, turning up the volume and strutting your stuff.

If you don't own any of Duff's previous releases, but enjoy mid-tempo dance-pop, this innocuous album should fit the bill.
