Mind your language, be a role model for students: educators tell legislators
The Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers has launched a campaign to collect signatures from schools in protest against the recent use of foul language by legislators. The federation said it would hand the signatures to Legislative Council president Tsang Yok-sing and appeal to legislators to be role models for students.
A clean sweep for Heep Yunn School
Heep Yunn School students have claimed the top prizes at the 5th Interschool Impromptu Speech Competition. Organised by St Joseph's College and St Bonaventure College and High school, the contest attracted more than 500 secondary students. Heep Yunn won both the junior secondary and matriculation categories in the Cantonese section.
Getting down to business at HKUST
Top graduate students from around the world converge on the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology this week to showcase their business plans. Today, teams competing in the HKUST International Business Plan Competition will present their proposals, which range from a plan to develop underwater robots to the development of new technologies to treat hepatitis C.
