Mostly a day to forget for top trainer
Happy Zero was able to do the right thing for the followers of the leading trainer, but yesterday might be one best forgotten by them for the main part. Well-backed Fortune Haven didn't enjoy the easiest of runs before being touched off in race two and worse was to come with Able Speed only able to complete race seven at walking pace and Sunny King running tailed out in the feature after a second episode of irregular heart beat that will see him barred for six months. Fortunately, the Able Speed incident was all about the broken saddle not the horse. Darren Beadman tried to rectify the situation himself but couldn't and said when the saddle started to shift to Able Speed's left 700m out and put him at a further disadvantage, he elected to ease the horse down.
