Based on her looks, you'd be forgiven for thinking Hayley Williams, vocalist of Tennessee pop punk band Paramore, is another Avril Lavigne wannabe. But listen closely and you'll realise she's a unique performer.
On Paramore's sophomore record Riot!, the 20-year-old displays her explosive voice and perfect falsetto. While what works in a studio can't necessarily be reproduced live, the band manages to pull off an enthusiastic performance of 15 upbeat tracks on their first live album, The Final Riot!
The concert opens with the energetic Born For This and is followed by several sing-a-long friendly numbers, including the career-making That's What You Get and Crushcrushcrush.
In the midst of soaring and sometimes hysteria-inducing pop punk numbers, the shaking arena calms down to enjoy softer ballads like When It Rains and We Are Broken. The concert closes with their biggest hits, Hallelujah and Misery Business.
The album comes with a concert DVD and a documentary. Fans get a glimpse of the band's life on the road with exclusive interviews and footage. Die-hard Paramore fans should invest in this live album, but if you're new to the band's sound, check out Riot! first.
