Kitchen fire spurs evacuation

Firemen evacuated about 40 residents from Prime Mansion in Fleming Road, Wan Chai, when fire broke out in the kitchen of an 11th-floor flat yesterday. Police said a 75-year-old woman was cooking when oil accidentally caught fire at about 11.15am. Firemen put out the blaze at 11.35am. A 29-year-old woman complained of feeling unwell after inhaling smoke and was treated at Ruttonjee Hospital.

Father and son in punch-up

A 10-year-old girl called police when her 52-year-old father and 16-year-old brother started hitting each other during a dispute over the use of a computer at their home in Lee Wing House, Lee On Estate, Ma On Shan, at about 3am. Police arrested the pair, who were treated for minor injuries at Prince of Wales Hospital.

Resident burned in trash fire

A 37-year-old man suffered minor burns while setting trash alight outside his house in Shek Wu Tong off Kam Sheung Road, Pat Heung, at about 10.50am. Neighbours doused the flames. The man was treated at Tuen Mun Hospital and discharged.
