ITALIAN giants AC Milan look set to play an exhibition match at the new Hong Kong Stadium in June.
Milan, widely regarded as the finest club team in Europe, are understood to have signed a contract with a Hong Kong sports promoter to appear in the territory as they stop over on their way to China.
Although the date has not been fixed, it is likely to be either Friday, June 10, or Saturday, June 11.
Milan will play the Brazilian side Vasco da Gama in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen on June 12 and then travel to Shenyang in the north-east to take on the powerful Liaoning provincial side on June 14.
Their likely opponents in Hong Kong are not yet known but they could be either from the Hong Kong Football Association or from overseas.
