Mainland actress Zhang Ziyi says she is bonding with her billionaire fiance Vivi Nevo's seven-year-old daughter, Lilly.
Zhang (right) was reportedly having trouble getting along with Nevo's daughter, who was said to have made nasty comments about the actress's appearance. But while speaking at a promotional event for fashion label Emporio Armani this week in Hong Kong, the actress defended her young step-daughter-to-be.
'[Lilly] is a very cute girl,' Zhang said, adding that she first met the child when she was only four years old. 'I saw some articles saying that she was very fussy about things, but she is only a baby. Those stories were untrue. [Lilly and I] are bonding well.'
The family of three was spotted dining happily together at a high-end restaurant in Malibu, California last month.
The actress said she had no plans to get married soon. 'I am still enjoying my work and every detail of my life,' she said. 'Hopefully, I'll have my own children in about two years' time.'
Earlier this year, pictures surfaced on the internet showing Zhang sunbathing topless with Nevo at a private beach in the Caribbean.
