A cat had part of its hind leg amputated after the animal got stuck in an escalator at a Yau Tong mall yesterday. Firemen were called to the Lei Yue Mun Plaza at 2pm after a woman alerted police. In October, a stray kitten had to be put down after a similar accident at the same mall.
