Popular Murder to be staged again
The Hong Kong Arts Festival is to re-run Murder in San Jose in August, the first time it is to stage a commission outside of the festival period. Executive director Tisa Ho says the play was well received in March and that many were disappointed not to be able to get tickets.
'It's ... a well-constructed play with fascinating and totally believable characters,' she says.
Written by playwright Chong Mui-ngam and directed by Lee Chun-chow, Murder in San Jose revolves around a Hong Kong migrant couple (Desmond Tang Wai-kit, below left, and Alice Lau Ngar-lai, right) whose seemingly quiet lives are turned upside down after the arrival of a young visitor (Kearan Pang Sau-wai, centre).
